A couple gaps…

Mostly just because I’ve been slacking and this place needs some activity, here’s a picture I whipped up a little while ago. It’s not exactly subtle, but whatever. Feel free to do with it what you will.

I have so much respect for these identity correctors.
They impersonate corporate big wigs in high profile media situations and actually tell the truth. One of their stunts was going on to the BBC pretending to be a representative from DOW, and publicly announcing that they were taking full responsibility for Bhopal and that they’d be liquidating Union Carbide in order to pay compensation, [because it was the right thing to do.]
At a textiles conference in Finland someone posed as a GATT rep and unveiled a “Employee Visualization Appendage,” a 3-foot long prosthetic phallus with a video screen that allowed factory managers to remotely monitor sweatshop labourers and administer disciplinary electric shocks. Apparently the only person who was offended was a woman who thought the metaphor of a penis implied that only men could be factory managers…she had no problem with the concept itself!

This is quite a doozy from the one of the world’s most respected newspapers. For the first time in their history, the Times is refusing to endorse a single Republican for election in either the House or the Senate. You should read the stinging editorial here.
Sadly, Sheriffs like this aren’t all that rare. http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/11/02/sheriff.indicted/index.html
